Relief Tiles are made by sculpting an original tile and casting a mold from it.
Soft clay is then pressed into the mold and allowed to dry enough to fall out naturally.
After the tile is fully dry, it is bisque fired, glazed and glaze fired.
This is a labor intensive and time consuming process, but the rich
bas-relief creates a lively surface texture and the resulting
tiles are exceptionally beautiful.
